Textures of Remembrance: Traveling Exhibition at the San Fransisco State Global Museum

In collaboration with Exhibit Envoy (EE), the Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network (DVAN) will present Textures of Remembrance: Vietnamese Diasporic Artists and Writers Reflect on April 30, 1975. This arts-and-humanities-driven traveling exhibition by contemporary Vietnamese Americans illuminates today’s Vietnamese American artists’ voices. The project will include 30 written word, visual art, and audiovisual works that reflect on the impact of April 30, 1975. Textures of Remembrance will be on display at the Global Museum at San Francisco State University from Oct. 23rd, 2022 to May 22, 2023. After the exhibit completes its term, it will be digitally augmented into an online exhibition to provide an even broader reach. This important project will humanize the Vietnamese diasporic experience and refugee experiences as a whole when the insistence of the human worth of every person can be seen as a radical act.
