Ina Adele Ray

Bio:

Ina Adele Ray (aka Adele) is a Vietnamese and American (Scotch-Irish origins) filmmaker. She was raised in Falls Church VA, established her film career in NYC, and now lives in Oakland, CA. Adele is currently developing a personal film essay, From Descendant to Ancestors, that is a recollection of family stories in Vietnam, memories of Adele’s youth in the U.S., and dreamlike confrontations with surreal formations of intergenerational trauma. She has worked in film and video production in both the commercial and non-profit worlds (from broadcast tv to social media) as a producer, director, and editor for over 20 years to support her passion for filmmaking. Adele has produced film, TV, and 360 VR work that have shown at film festivals, on TV, and at universities in North America, Europe, and Asia. She has an MA in Media Studies in Film from the New School and has taught at NYU & Parsons.
