    Bio:

    Lan Duong is Associate Professor in Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Southern California. She is the author of Treacherous Subjects: Gender, Culture, and Trans-Vietnamese Feminism and coeditor of Southeast Asian Women in the Diaspora: Troubling Borders in Literature and Art. Her poetry appears in Watermark: Vietnamese American Poetry and Prose, Bold Words: Asian American Writing to Span the Centuries, Tilting the Continent: Southeast Asian American Writing, Frontiers: A Journal of Women’s Studies, and Crab Orchard Review. More recent writings are in Oberon and Spoon River Review for which she has won an Honorable Mention. Her collaboration with (S)he Who Has No Masters on a poem called Love | Object | Treason, garnered an Honorable Mention from Hawker Prize in Southeast Asian Poetry in 2017. Her poetry manuscript is called Girlhood, and Other Dirty Stories.
