Sequence 2: Workshop

Memoir: WorkshopSequence 2: Workshop is for those looking to grow seriously as writers through sharing their writing for group feedback and discussion – the invaluable process of “workshopping.” By responding constructively to the cohort’s rough drafts, participants will strengthen muscles critical to revising one’s writing. Within an intimate and collaborative space for mutual learning, the goal will be to sharpen one’s ability to articulate and execute the elements that transform our raw and rough drafts into compelling reads.

Is Sequence 2: Workshop right for you?

Participants interested in the Workshop sequence are not required to have taken Sequence 1: Craft, but it is encouraged for those who have never taken a creative writing craft class. Participants will be expected to submit 10 to 20 double-spaced pages demonstrating some knowledge of craft techniques and concepts. If you have questions about which sequence is the right fit, email H’Rina DeTroy.
