The Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network’s mission is to promote the voices and stories of the Vietnamese diaspora by cultivating a community of writers, poets, and artists, and connecting their work to readers, audiences, and diasporic communities around the world.
About ÁCCENTED
ÁCCENTED: Dialogues in Diaspora began as a response to the global pandemic and has opened our eyes to how we can globally connect audiences and guests virtually to discuss a variety of topics resonant with the experiences of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian communities in the diaspora. ÁCCENTED is not only a space where Vietnamese and other Southeast Asian artists, writers, poets, thinkers, and activists have intimate conversations about their lives, work, and passions; it also provides a platform for like-minded people to find inspiration from these conversations and to showcase the compelling work being created in our community.
We’ve featured many exciting guests on shows about politics, Southeast Asian writers and poets, Southeast Asian diasporic food, storytelling techniques through tarot, and Southeast Asian theater and performance, among others.
Project Scope
Video Editing
- Edit ÁCCENTED footage for YouTube, DVAN website, and other platforms as instructed
- Apply clean, minimal edits that maintain authentic quality and help clarify recording
- Remove copyrighted music (if any) to adhere to guidelines
- Ability to utilize editing software (Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
