Editorial Interns

diaCRITICS is in search of an Editorial Intern. Internships are usually 3-6 months and provide an opportunity for students to learn more about managing and editing an online publication. The internship pays $16 per hour with an expectation of 5-6 hours a week. This is a virtual internship.

Internship duties may include:

Read submissions and pitches to find content for the publication

Move accepted and edited pieces into production

Brainstorm ideas and conduct outreach

Provide social media support

Organize website for better cataloging and SEO purposes

Contribute to the writing of the style guide

As a capstone, the intern can submit a piece or pitch and work with an editor toward its publication on diaCRITICS.

The ideal intern would have a strong interest in editing and Vietnamese and Southeast Asian arts. Strong connections to these communities are a plus. For consideration, send a résumé and cover letter to [email protected].
